About the Founder

Mei Chen

"After spending years working as a lawyer, I left the law firm life to devote time to my children's health and education. As a parent of accelerated and exceptional learners, I struggled to find the appropriate curricula and educational resources. By high school, my older child had changed schools, including homeschooling, 8 times. The result was not only the loss of successful learning but an awareness that too many bright, motivated, energetic kids are underserved and overlooked.

I am excited about the path forward. Bears & Feathers strives to fill in some of the gaps. Aspiring youth have the opportunity to execute projects that push the next frontier and call for fresh perspectives. By bridging real-world learning, tomorrow's leaders grow not only vision but also character."
