Boosting Youth Leaders

Meet Francis Kalenja, a 17-year old budding astronomer whose vision for space exploration includes making experiencing the universe accessible to all:

What is Project KaMO? "It is an endeavor to utilize a system of two telescopes working in tandem to observe and capture all corners of the universe."

What makes this project important? "It uses cutting-edge equipment and mobility to deploy a system that can efficiently travel to locations far and wide. It brings extremely high levels of raw power to any institution, group, or individuals of all levels and demographics at any time, except when cloudy."

Who can benefit? "Anyone. For example, kids in school during the school day utilizing our Kreutz Education Program to familiarize students with the ever-changing surface of our home star (the Sun). Kreutz also reopens a layer of astronomy to older folks like senior citizens who due to the yellowing of the corneas would not otherwise be able to see certain wavelengths. Our more specialized Kronos System can be employed at night to capture light from billions of years in the past revealing deep secrets of the universe."
